City Hall Lobby Closure
Since Thanksgiving there has been a significant rise in the number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Texas and Johnson County. According to TXDSHS, Texas added 14,000 new daily cases and 244 deaths just yesterday. According to Johnson County Emergency Management, Johnson County added over 1,000 new cases and 9 deaths in the last two weeks. The active cases per day in Johnson County have risen to well over 500. After seven straight days of COVID-19 patients taking up more than 15% of available hospital beds in the North Texas region, reopening rollbacks are impending. In order to protect customers and city staff alike from the spread of COVID-19, effective Monday, December 7, 2020 the lobby at City Hall will be closed to the public.Front office staff will be working normal office hours and will be answering phones and responding to e-mails from the public.The city is asking customers to make utility and court payments via the drop box out front, by phone, mail or online at https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/grandviewtx.Thank you for your understanding and stay well!
