Chief Henley started his law enforcement career by attending the police academy in 1994. Since graduation he has had the opportunity to work in several positions gaining valuable knowledge and experience. He has served as a patrol officer, field training officer, deputy marshal, school resource officer, criminal investigator, senior sergeant of patrol and a chief of police for numerous years.
Chief Henley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Criminal Justice graduating summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA. He has a Master Peace Officer Certification and in 2005 received the TCLEOSE Academic Recognition Award. He is a certified police instructor, firearms instructor and special investigator. In 2009, he graduated from the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration's Management College and earned the Tory Caeti Award for the highest GPA. He has attended numerous police leadership and management classes throughout his 20+ years in law enforcement.
Chief Henley has been a member of the North Texas Police Chiefs Association, the Texas Police Chiefs Association, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Chief Henley is a firm believer in community oriented policing and and is excited to serve as the Chief of Police in Grandview.
