MISSION STATEMENTThe Court and it's administrative staff shall administer the law with impartiality, fairness, and integrity. The Court shall be conducted by a judge who maintains competence in the law, judge each case on an individual bases, conduct all trials promptly with dignity, courtesy, and procedurally correct. The administrative staff shall establish and maintain competence in the court process. They shall perform their duties to the best of their abilities; strive to educate themselves in court procedures; and deal with the public with respect and honesty. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONThe Municipal Court Judge presides over trials and hearings, levies fines, sets bails, accepts bonds, issues arrest and search warrants, administers juvenile magistrate's warnings and arraigns prisoners for misdemeanor and felony offenses. Municipal Court Administration provides support to the Municipal Court Judge, collects fines, fees and state court costs, schedules court hearings, generates production of arrest warrants, maintains records relating to court proceedings and reports various statistical data to the State.
