Office of the Chief

Chief Henley started his law enforcement career in 1994 by attending the Weatherford College Police Academy. Since graduation he has had the opportunity to work in several positions gaining valuable knowledge and experience. He has served as a patrol officer, field training officer, deputy marshal, school resource officer, criminal investigator, senior sergeant of patrol, and a chief of police for ten (10) years. 

Chief Henley has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Criminal Justice and graduated summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA. He has a Master Peace Officer Certification and in 2005 received the TCLEOSE Academic Recognition Award. He is a certified police instructor, firearms instructor, mental health officer and special investigator. In 2009 he graduated from the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration's Management College and earned the Tory Caeti Award for the highest GPA. He has attended numerous police leadership and management classes and attended and Module I of the Leadership Command College at Sam Houston State University.

Chief Henley is a member of the North Texas Police Chiefs Association, the Texas Police Chiefs Association, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Chief Henley is also a proud member of the Grandview Lions Club and serves as the 1st Vice President.

Chief Henley is a firm believer in community oriented policing and is excited to serve as the Chief of Police in Grandview.
